The Dr Kathryn McLaren Pathology Prize is awarded annually to the student with the best overall performance during the second year of the medical course at Edinburgh Medical School.

Dr Kathryn McLaren was an academic histopathologist who was a specialist in numerous areas, particularly skin and endocrine pathology, who taught and examined at Edinburgh Medical School and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
