The Dr Kathryn McLaren Pathology Prize

The Dr Kathryn McLaren Pathology Prize is awarded to the student with the best overall performance, in preference during the second year, on the MBChB course of Edinburgh Medical School.

Kathryn was an academic histopathologist who was a specialist in numerous areas, particularly skin and endocrine pathology. She was based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and lectured in the Medical School of the University of Edinburgh. She was an examiner for the membership and fellowship exams for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

A Fund has been established by her family, in her memory, which contributes to The Dr Kathryn McLaren Pathology Prize.
