The archive is a “collection of collections” and contains residual cervical liquid based cytology (LBC) samples and DNA from the cervical screening programme and other research projects within the SHINe community. The samples are annotated with clinical data obtained from various sources and have ethical approvals for use in research. With regular quality assessments and annotation of samples, we aim to provide researchers with a vital resource to improve the way we detect and manage HPV associated disease. Apart from the Scottish HPV Archive, the research focus of HPV Research Group is evaluation of performance of new and established HPV diagnostic tests and translational research into new biomarkers of HPV related cancers. If you would like to know more or are interested in accessing our samples for your research, Contact us at hpvarchive@ed.ac.uk.Group MembersMembers NameRoleTelephoneEmail Dr Kate Cuschieri Director of HPV Research Group +44 (0)131 242 6039 Email Kate CuschieriElia AlcanizResearch Technician+44 (0)131 242 6625Email Elia AlcanizSharon MoncurResearch Technician+44 (0)131 242 6625Email Sharon MoncurJune StroudResearch Technician+44 (0)131 242 6625Email June StroudJessica VitiMSc student+44 (0)131 242 6625Email Jessica VitiCollaboratorsScottish HPV Reference LaboratoryScottish HPV Investigator's NetworkProf Juergen Haas, University of EdinburghWeb LinksFull publication listSelected PublicationsUse of HPV testing for cervical screening in vaccinated women - insights from the SHEVa (Scottish HPV Prevalence in Vaccinated women) study.
