Cancer Research UK TRACC Clinical Research Training Fellow in Histopathology Dr Daniel Field Academic Trainee Pathologist Department of Pathology The University of Edinburgh Contact details Email: dfield@ed.ac.uk Current researchI am a Cancer Research UK TRACC Clinical Research Training Fellow, an integrated academic pathway for clinicians. My research interests centre around increasing pathological understanding of cancers of the Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) tract, particularly in characterising early carcinogenesis of these deadly diseases. Elucidating the crucial early molecular and microenvironmental drivers of HPB cancers is a keystone to improving patient outcomes.I have been involved with industry collaborations to help harness the power of deep learning and artificial intelligence to improve clinical pathology workflows and interrogate tissue and diseases at a new level.Selected PublicationsField, D.
